passport, come.

so my birthday, which officially starts in T-minus 1 hour and 26 minutes, is looking to be a vast improvement over last year's (perhaps the last five years', with rare exception). mostly because lisa booth is beautiful, biblical, AND amazing, if such a feat were possible. and it were.

it's a not-so-surprise surprise birthday party. in that, i know there is a party, but i have no idea what we are doing. i am told that what we are doing will require the use of my secret ninja moves from the government (but then again, doesn't everything?).

also, i think my attitude is changing a bit. the Lord has reminded me in the past few days that HE really thinks my birthday is something special, and He never forgets it. and i think i'm getting to the point in the Lord where, if He is the only One who sees or knows (which i'm SURE won't be the case because, at the very least, there is a not-so-surprise surprise party tomorrow in my honor), that really is enough, because oh, how i love Him. each day more and more.

in other news, today a customer at starbucks called me "impossible" (with a smile) after i charged him full price for his bean order (he apparently was used to getting some beans for free), but then gave him my markout (a free pound of coffee) for the week, in addition to what he bought. it was somewhat of an awkward exchange, but i think it was the Lord teaching me a few things about loving those who irritate the crap out of me, and the man seemed kind of touched by it. he comes in frequently, and i guess overheard me say to someone awhile ago that i did not own an umbrella. and so i guess he left at some point during the lunch hour today and bought me an umbrella. it took me aback a little bit. his heart seems so calloused. it was just a really kind gesture.

the prayer meeting tonight was really awesome. i'm excited about what the Lord is doing.

also, i'm going to india! most of you already know, i assume. i can't believe it. i'm still in shock. i leave a month from thursday. passport, you need to come. NOW.
