him: i really want you to lead the rhythm on this song.
me: okay. what tempo are you thinking?
him: i want you to ROCK.
me: okay. what tempo are you thinking?
him: i want you to take it and run with it.
me: umm... okay. what tempo are you thinking?
my conclusion: people are funny. and don't know what they want.
two noteworthy things that happened at the YMCA (which, i might add, was founded in north america in 1851 "to help Christian young people retain their Christian commitments after they had moved into the urban jungles where jobs were available"-- i just like saying "urban jungles").
1. whenever you use a machine or bench or some kind of exercise equipment, it is polite to spray it with disinfectant and wipe it down after you are done. that being said, middle-aged woman enters the machine area today and spends a minute diligently wiping down the seat of a leg extension machine, BUT she does not bother to wipe it down AFTER she completes her set. then, i go to use the same machine. upon completing my set, i spray and wipe down the machine. said woman watches me do this, then several minutes later returns to the same machine to do another set and, get this, wipes the machine down again BEFORE she uses it. as if to say that MY spraying and wiping down the seat was not sufficient to kill my germs. i was offended.
2. someone jacked my muscle and fitness hers magazine. it was sitting under my pearl jam cd, which the thief did not bother to take. bite me. who steals a magazine?
things to thank God for.
1. the reason my car has been stalling for no reason is probably due to a faulty ignition switch, which honda recalled about a year ago. which means i won't have to pay for the repairs.
2. the honda dealership in des moines that took $92.80 of my hard-earned money to run some diagnostic tests to find out why my car was stalling is going to fully reimburse me for it since they didn't think to look at any recalls issued for my car.
3. as of last friday i only have three classes this semester. i officially have fridays and mondays off. that's a four day weekend. AND even though i only have 9 hours, my school is counting the intensive class i will be taking after christmas break as part of this semester's credits so that i am still considered a full time student so that i'm still insured. woo hoo!
i just want to let you know, my cross and crown beauties, i've been thinking a lot about you girls lately and missing you. i just went back today and reread all the entries you have left in my guestbook. makes me remember ascension convention this year and the bonfire and playing volleyball at the beach while almost getting struck by lightning.
