i've never really thought of jeanna as being the man magnet. and not that she shouldn't be, because she's beautiful, she's smart, she's funny... i guess it's just that in the history of our relationship together, jeanna had not dated anyone until she and tony got back together. and we spent a majority of our time last year hanging out together or with groups of other girls, so i never really got a good picture of how she relates comfortably to guys. but today, as we were eating lunch, jeanna shared with me a story from her freshman year of college, which i personally think should be made into a movie. lemme tell you about it...
so in the fall of jeanna's freshman year, she dates nate, the quintessential bad boy. they join the musical together, which happened to be grease. nate gets the part of danny (think john travolta), jeanna gets the part of some girl that danny hates. they start attending rehearsals, and after awhile the drama instructor confronts nate and tells him that his relationship with jeanna is getting in the way of his romantic chemistry with "sandy." nate was already developing a crush on sandy anyway, so he broke up with jeanna and started dating his co-star. jeanna starts dating nick that same week, one of nate's best friends, who got the part of "doody," one of danny's best friends in the play. jeanna and nate now hate each other, which works out well for the play because they hate each other in the show. during the opening week, jeanna decides that she likes emilio, this 24-year old exotic mexican dude. she breaks up with nick the last night of the show so she can date emilio. the cast party that night is at emilio's house, where the cast of grease are joined by "the latin connection," a bunch of emilio's friends who are all professional salsa dancers. so there was great fun and salsa dancing, but "sandy" and "danny" don't show up for the party, due to the fact that they were breaking up. how unfortunate. at least they had enough chemistry to make it through the play. i smell an oscar, what do you think?
