i can't believe what i'm seeing. i'm watching the elimination show of american idol, and all of the remaining contestants are standing in a line on the stage, getting ready to sing a song together with a gospel choir, and the one, the only, Ryan Seacrest, names the song they will be singing:

"everybody, it's 'Shout to the Lord'!"

jigga what?

"Shout to the Lord" is a very Christian worship song. i mean, it may have been sung waaaay too many times, but there is really no way you can twist those lyrics to mean anything other than, well... what they say.

it was sort of funny as they were singing. you could tell who really knew the Person they were singing about, and who was uncomfortable by singing a song with such passionate lyrics about Jesus. i would give my left arm to know what went through their heads as they were learning the song. i wonder who made the decision about it, and who was offended by it.

it actually made me weep a little bit. You are just so funny. You will be glorified, and the secular media can't do anything about it. You win.

i am REALLY glad i watched a little television tonight.
