total eclipse of the gum.

the dog has been acting weirder than usual tonight. i wonder if it is because of the full moon and lunar eclipse. i can already see the eclipse happening. this is kind of exciting.

can i just say how absolutely wonderful Jesus is. He is so good to me. i was walking into the high school today to pick up the attendance record for the kids i tutor, and as i'm walking into the school, i ask Him for a piece of gum. i didn't have any, and i just really wanted a piece. as i approached the entrance, i saw a still-wrapped piece of gum on the ground just outside the door. i *almost* picked it up. then i noticed it appeared kind of dirty and wet, and decided that probably was not the piece of gum that was the answer to my prayer. we rode back to the program, and i didn't have the piece of gum yet. i had the thought that maybe the Lord was waiting to give it to me until after we had eaten our afternoon snack.

well, we get back to the program, i'm checking the girls' assignment notebooks, we're eating our snacks... and right as i'm finishing up the snack, one of my girls opens this weird-looking container, looks at me, and mouths, "you want some gum?" hee hee. yes. thank you.

thank You. that hardly ever happens, that someone just offers me a piece of gum. i know that You hear me, and You love me. oh, that i would believe and not doubt that i can trust You with all the desires of my heart, not just the little piece of gum.
