i would have to agree with chuck magnet that room raiders is better than taildaters, but not by much. the concept is kind of cool, that you get to rummage through a person's room before you ever meet them, but they spend way too much time looking for stashes of porn and stains on the sheets. GAY. i saw a knockoff of that show on the discovery channel or the travel channel or something, and they had these two girls go through one guy's house for ten minutes, and then they were given a certain amount of money to go to the mall and pack a suitcase full of things they think he would like based on what was in his house. the guy then goes through the two suitcases, and chooses a girl to go on a date with based on what she packed for him. definitely a lot cleaner than room raiders. the show wasn't very well produced though, so i don't think it will last long.
so i went to go see "the butterfly effect" with jeanna & tony, helen, and jake on friday night. i must say that i enjoyed it. though i think there were some logical holes in the plot, it did manage, in parts, to scare the pants off of me. and, more importantly, it made me think more about a question that i occasionally ask myself anyway:
if i could go back and relive this past year, having all the knowledge that i have now, what would i do differently?
here is what i have come up with:
1. i would have never given rock star the time of day after i got back from texas.
2. i would have gotten the address or email address of the navy dude at the seattle airport who was being shipped to an unknown destination, just to know that he made it through okay.
3. i would have spent more time with ara's family before i left for texas.
4. i would have not taken my car to motor werks in barrington and just had erik replace my engine for me.
5. i would have stayed in texas until the beginning of august.
6. i would have gone to san diego to visit aunt mary and family.
i think there's more, but those are the things i can think of off the top of my head.
what would you change if you could relive the past year of your life?
