for those of you who were eagerly awaiting a post about the surprise appearance to ara on tuesday, i'm sorry that i have kept you waiting. i wrote out a whole post yesterday, but as soon as i clicked "post and publish", the internet decided not to work and i lost the whole thing. dude that sucks. so, a recap.

tuesday, stephanie stopped at lubepro's in the late afternoon. she was originally going to pull her car in for an oil change, but they were already very busy so instead she decided to park in the nearby menard's parking lot and just walk up. she exited her car, and approached the shop. as she did so, ara came walking out unsuspectingly to pull another car into the garage.

he sees stephie right away. jaw drops. big grin. (+10 pts)

"what the...? what are you doing here? how long have you been in town?"
"i just got in..."
"when did you leave texas?"
"well, i lied to you a little bit... well okay a lot."
"that's okay... this is the best surprise ever!! happy anniversary!" (+30 pts)

he pulls stephie into the office so they can talk.

"yeah, nothing's changed... you're still the most beautiful girl in the world." (+50 pts)

"i can't believe you're back. i missed you so much. i didn't expect to see you for another month." (+15 pts)
"i missed you too... i've been so excited about getting to see you again... i love texas, but... i just couldn't stay."

"so ara... you got plans tonight?"
"hopefully now i do. " (+20 pts)
"call me when you are ready to go out..."

7:45 pm

ara calls and says that unbeknownst to him, one of his great uncles was in town and was having dinner with his family, and he needed to stay. (-20 pts)
thus, he and stephie would have to go out later. (-10 pts)

"that's okay. just call me when you're ready to go out."

9:15 pm

ara calls. he isn't ready to go yet. they just finished dinner. he wants to know if stephie wants him to come pick her up or what.

"well how long do you think you will be?"
"i don't know... maybe an hour." (-20 pts)
"why don't you just call me when you get done spending time with your uncle and we can discuss it then."

stephie's bad mood = -50 pts

10:45 pm

ara asks if he can come over to see her. (+10 pts)

okay.

ara pulls up, stephie walks out to him. he hands her a dozen roses (+50 pts).
they were the orange/yellowish kind. one of her favorites. (+25 pts)

stephie spends 10 minutes crying to him about how upset she was that the night didn't go as planned. he hugs her and apologizes and says he will make it up to her. (+20 pts)

they spend two hours together just talking and catching up. (+25 pts)

he didn't have a girlfriend named alex. (+100 pts)

TOTAL SCORE: 305 pts

not bad, not bad at all.

in other news, things have been super weird with his parents. i got the icy glare o' death from his mom tonight, and i'm not sure why. but it wasn't good. dang that sucks.
