things that are good about today.

1) holy crap the weather is amazing. mid seventies, sunny, nice breeze. i couldn't ask for more. well i could. i could ask for another day or two or a year of this nice weather so that when i get done with homework i can go outside and enjoy it. or i could ask for no homework. that would be even better.

2) famous daves. why had i not eaten there before? i remember back in omaha, brad linger used to work there. brad was this kid on our worship team who was about 2-3 years my junior and played guitar well. he was HOT. seriously. the kid is on my top ten list of HOTTIES. anyway, back to famous daves. our waiter's name was borys. he was russian. it was everything i could do not to start speaking in a russian accent when he was taking our order. i wanted to ask him what he thought of the war but... eh. i figured when he's handling my food maybe that's not such a good idea. good food, good company. every once in awhile i meet someone who i consider to be a kindred spirit, and it was a pleasure getting to spend some time with her today. WHEEEEE.

3) seeing a dude in a huge inflatable spacesuit in front of chicken inn on the side of rand rd. i don't think i need to elaborate on this. you would have been awed too. shock and awed.

4) taking a nap. i told everyone i was going to do homework. honestly, that was my original intent, but once again the "best laid plans of mice and men do oft go astray"... er... something like that. i love sleeping in my room on sunny sunday afternoons. my walls are painted this honey mustard color and my windows are in such a place that the sunlight pours in in the afternoon. and it's just beautiful. the sun lights up the room, and it's so comfortable just curling up on my bed with a blanket. napping is the best.

so now i must leave you to attend a starbucks' meeting. then i'm going to come back and actually do homework. riiiiiiiiiiight.
